Sleepover Invitation… Stampin’ Up! style…

by ministamper

I just thought i’d share a project my daughter and I did today, this week marks the end of primary school as the high school she is going to next year starts at Year 7. Chelsea wanted to invite a couple of friends over for an end of year sleepover and the only way to ‘invite in style’ is Stampin’ Up! style.

I assisted a fair bit, but the colours and idea came from Chelsea, as the invitation was for a sleepover she wanted the invite to show a girl in bed.

I always keep my retired stamp sets because you never know when they are going to come in handy…LOL… today was one of those days, in this instance it was retired hostess set Window Dressing, I think Chelseas’ idea turned out great.

We used retired Blush Blossom cardstock to stamp the head and markers to colour in, a couple of pieces of rectangle Stampin’ Up! DSP with the corners rounded and you have a blanket and pillow, Stampin’ Up! dimensionals came in handy to puff up the pillow…LOL..

Monogram Note Cards and Matching Box

by ministamper

Hello again, two posts in two days and I still haven’t touched my ironing (Oooops)…. anyway, I wanted to share a little something I made this week, my apologies (I seem to do be doing that a lot these days) for using retired stock, but I have heaps and LOVE this paper…..

My daughter Chelsea has a university prac teacher at her school and she is leaving on Friday, Chelsea asked if I would make Monogram Note Cards as a Thank You Gift, she knew this was my Christmas Gift project for her other school teachers and really liked it. Chelsea helped me make the Note Cards and when we were finished I said I was just going to wrap them in a cello bag (nicely of course), she just looked at me with the “you ARE going to make the matching box aren’t you” , so I did… and i’m glad… as I think it finishes off the gift.

I love the combination of Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, and I still had leftover Cottage Wall DSP from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue 2010, i’m pretty sure Chelsea’s teacher won’t complain that I haven’t used current Stampin’ Up! DSP. For those who like vibrant colours, this would look greeeeaaaat in the new Sunny Garden DSP.

I love the personal touch of Monogram Note Cards, especially for teachers, I always seem to have it in my mind that they write lots of notes, I do hope this is the case with Chelsea’s teachers…LOL

I made the box thick enough so that it holds 12 Note Cards and Envelopes (and a choccie bar for her main teacher). I placed a square of velcro to hold the lid in place.

Special – Anyone who places and order with me between now and Christmas will receive free instructions on how to make this project (instructions will be in the form of an e-mail)
